Mirchi ka Achar | Green Chilli Pickle is a delicious North Indian style pickle recipe where fresh green chillies are pickled with mustard seeds . This pickle goes very well with any Indian meals. Here is my mother’s recipe of how to make it. it tastes amazing when served with choice of dal and sambar rice recipe, but can also be served with roti or paratha.

INGREDIENTS

  • 250 gm Green Chillies
  • 1 tsp saunf Mustard Seeds
  • 2 tsp saunf cup Salt
  • 2 tsp saunf turmeric Powder
  • 2 tsp saunf Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 cups Mustard Oil


INSTRUCTIONS

  • Wash the chilies and wipe them using a cotton cloth.
  • Cut them into 2-3 pieces.
  • Grind mustard seeds in a blender to make a coarse powder.
  • Now mix turmeric powder, salt, mustard powder.and Mustard oil, chilli powder in chilies pieces in a big pot and mix well.
  • Store it in a glass jar or plastic jar and keep the jar in sun for 3-4 days for a pickle to get the actual taste.
  • This pickle can be stored for 3-4 months in a cool and dry place.
  • finally, serve instant green chilli pickle with rice or roti.
