Mooli ka Achar

Pickles, when had along with meals, enhance their taste to a much higher level as well as our hunger level. Radish Pickle can be stored and eaten for a month.

the spices used in this pickle are similar to any traditional Indian pickle recipe but has the extra flavour of radish in it. it tastes amazing when served with choice of dal and sambar rice recipe, but can also be served with roti or paratha.

INGREDIENTS

  • Radish (mooli) – 500 grams
  • Mustard oil – 1/4 cup
  • Salt – 2 tsp
  • Red chilly powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Red Chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Mustard Seeds / Rai – 2 tsp

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Wash, peel and cut the radish length wish in finger size pieces.
  • Now mix turmeric powder, salt, mustard and Mustard oil, chilli powder in radish pieces in a big pot and mix well.
  • Store it in a glass jar or plastic jar and keep the jar in sun for 2-3 days for a pickle to get the actual taste.

Note- Salt and Oil helps to store pickle for long.
